Oxo-Biodegradable Plastics

We currently distribute the d₂w™ brand of oxo-biodegradable plastic products and additives.  All plastics cannot be made degradable as there is the need for conventional plastics for special product items, such as water pipes etc.  However, if the plastic product is only required for use for a specific time, after which they are no longer needed, then these plastic products should be made totally degradable!

Plastic is a fundamental part of our lives. Conventional plastics can be re-used and recycled – however if they get into the environment they can last for many decades. However, conventional plastics can now be made oxo-biodegradable.  The solution is to add d₂w™ additive to the manufacturing process of the plastic product: making it “oxo-biodegradable” or “oxo-bio” for short. 

Oxo-bio plastic will degrade, then biodegrade, to water, CO₂, biomass and trace-elements, on land or sea, in the light or dark, in heat or cold, in whatever timescale is required.  It leaves NO fragments NO methane and NO harmful residues. Oxo-Bio plastics during their service-life have the same qualities of regular plastics, i.e. lightweight, strength, durability, clarity, printable etc.

d₂p is an antimicrobial masterbatch targeted for specific applications. The inorganic nature, small particle size and high temperature tolerance of the active ingredient makes it ideal for use in a wide range of polymer processes.
